  EN 353 Guided fall arrester

  The EN 353-2 standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use and marking for guided type fall arresters on a flexible anchor line fixed to an upper anchor point. Guided type fall arresters complying with this standard are used in fall arrest systems defined in EN 363 in conjunction with full body harness specified in EN 361. Other types of fall arresters are defined in EN 360 and EN 353-1. Energy absorbers are specified in EN 355.

  The EN 354 standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use, marking and packaging for fixed and adjustable lanyards. Lanyards complying with this standard are used in fall arrest systems defined in EN 363. Other types of lanyards are specified in EN 358.

  The EN 355 standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use, marking and packaging for energy absorbers. Energy absorbers complying with this standard are used in fall arrest systems defined in EN 363. Fall arresters are specified in EN 353-1, EN353-2 and EN 360.

  EN 358 Safety belts

  The EN 358 Standard specifies the requirements, testing, marking, labeling and packaging of systems intended for work positioning and overhead support of the worker including the prevention of free fall. A work positioning system is not intended for use as a fall arrest device.

  The EN 360 standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use and marking for retractable fall arresters. Retractable type fall arresters complying with this standard are used in fall arrest systems defined in EN 363 in conjunction with full body harness specified in EN 361. Others are defined in EN 360 and EN 353-1 and EN 353-2 types of fall arresters. Energy absorbers are specified in EN 355.

  The EN 361 standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use, marking and packaging for full body harnesses.

  EN 362 Connectors

  The EN 362 standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use and marking for connectors. Connectors compliant with this standard are used in work positioning systems and fall arrest systems defined in EN 358 and EN 363 respectively. Lanyards terminating in connectors are specified in EN 354.
